Dr. Ioanna Koukli presented the launch of new state interventions aiming to reduce bureaucracy and enhance Greece’s competitiveness in the global clinical trials field as a solid step towards the future. Measures for the strengthening of clinical studies in Greece, such as training of healthcare workers (HCWs) involved in clinical research, raising awareness of the patients regarding the benefits of recruitment and financial incentives for investments were also proposed.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the chairman of the committee, Stratos Simopoulos for the initiative to invite stakeholders (Eirini Papanikolaou, Asterios Karagiannis, Stefanos Triaridis, Ioannis Rabias, Karaviotis Michalis, Ilias Soumpasis, Ioannis Roufos) to present the current clinical research framework, formed by the Greek Ministry of Health and Adonis Georgiadis, which highlighted the necessity to promote clinical trials in the country.
