Innovision was founded in 2007 as a spin-off company from the newly-established Institute of Biotechnology & Research (BIOMED),
Centre for Research and Technology, Thessaly in collaboration with researchers in King's College London.
The company's specializes in the development of enhanced performance immunoassays for the detection of antibodies and the identification
of novel autoantigens and biomarkers of human diseases. One of its main goals is to develop single tests, which will replace existing
assays currently used for the detection of antibodies, antigens or biomarkers in diseases such as diabetes, autoimmune liver diseases,
viral hepatitis, inflammatory bowel diseases, hepatocellular carcinoma, liver fibrosis, etc. It also aims to identify currently unknown
autoantigens of enigmatic diseases such as primary biliary cirrhosis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, autoimmune hepatitis, celiac disease,
inflammatory bowel disease and autoimmune pancreatitis.
Innovision is developing prototype immunoassays of enhanced performance based on novel mixtures of antigenic preparations for the detection
of autoimmune serology in autoimmune and microbial infections. The company is building a technology platform by combining advanced technologies
such as protein/peptide chip platforms, mass spectrometry and immunoscoping with microarray epitope analysis, in order to develop more effective
antibody testing kits with applications for large population-based screening.
The company is interested in developing partnerships with research institutions and leading immunodiagnostic companies for the commercialization of its products.
