Hellenic BioCluster Mission 2010

Geneva-Lausanne 21 September 2010
Basel 22-23 September 2010

The aim of the mission is to link the dynamically emerging Greek biosciences with Swiss Life Science companies in order to create new opportunities for partnerships and collaborations, business development and investment.

The Hellenic Bio Cluster Mission includes 1 day in the Geneva-Lausanne area (21 Sep 2010) and 2 days in the area of Basel (22-23 Sep 2010). In Basel, the Greek delegation will also participate in the BioValley Life Sciences Week 2010 [pdf, 300KB].

The main activities which will be organized during the Hellenic Bio Cluster Mission are business partnering meetings between Greek and Swiss companies and a number of site visits to Swiss companies and research centers.

Organisers

The Greek delegation comprises 10 members, including representatives of 8 innovative bioscience companies (Biomedcode, Biomedica, Bionature, Medicon, Biovista, Cambridge Biomagnetics, Nova Mechanica, Bioanalytica Genotype) and 2 renowned Greek Research Institutes, (the Institute of Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, Foundation of Research & Technology Hellas (IMBB-FORTH) and the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens).

The delegation represents a dynamic part of the Greek biosciences sector with activities mainly focusing on pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, biosensor, and contract research services.
